Michael A. Taylor

The Washington Nationals win arbitration case with Michael A. Taylor. The Nationals filed for a $3.25MM and Taylor filed for $3.5MM. Taylor is in his second year of arbitration, which means this factors in even more so now that he has another year to go through this process.

Tony Barnette

Barnette has agreed to a one year deal with a club option with the Chicago Cubs worth $750K for the first year and $3MM for the club option. After being quite reliable over 2016 and 2017 with the Rangers (117.2 IP, 3.70 FIP) he was faced with shoulder issues which derailed his 2018 campaign.

Zach Duke agrees to deal with Cincinnati

Journeyman Zach Duke has found another team this year to pitch for. Posing a 3.01 FIP over 52 IP in 2018 pitched good enough for another year. Going into his age 36 season he looks to build on 2018’s success. Cincinnati was the first team who tried him out in the bullpen after failing as a starter.
